Bolog Bowl – Meal Prep Bolognese Rice Bowls
Ragu Bolognese and rice are both easy to make huge batches of, and both freezer friendly. Together, they make fr a great meal prep. Serve with a poached egg for visual and textural contrast.

- 500 g ground beef
- 500 g ground pork
- 1 large carrot
- 2 yellow onions
- 1000 g canned tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp dried mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Chop up onions and carrots, or use a food processor.
Sweat the vegetables in a pan with a pinch of salt.
Once translucent, make a well in the vegetables and sauté some tomato paste in there. Mix to combine, then add the ground meat.
Stir and break up the meat. Add canned tomatoes. Season to taste. Bring to a simmer.
Meanwhile, cook rice, make the eggs, and do some cleanup.
Once the rice is done, take the sauce off the heat and stir in a splash of balsamic vinegar.
Combine and serve.
